I doubt there's anyone that even visits this blog anymore!! There will be some changes with the blog soon though... I'll be using it to share different projects I'm working on, recipes/food related posts, as well as some family updates among other things. I'm going to try really hard to keep it updated! Life has been crazy the past few months - but a GOOD crazy. I feel very blessed to be staying home with my girls while attempting to start a small business. I'll have a better update soon with some pictures of my current projects...for now, here are a few recent pictures!

Back in business!

I'm hoping to get this blog up and going again now that my etsy shop is finally open! It will take a little while to get the blog up to date, so please be patient. I'm trying to keep my family #1 and the blog/sewing #2. I'm excited about my shop though and about sewing again... I'm hoping to become more organized and get into a routine. I'll be back soon with more information about my shop and Willow Lane Designs new items!

Custom Orders!

I've had several custom orders the past few weeks, some of new designs that they requested and some were other designs I've made in the past.... It was perfect timing since I just quit my part-time job! I'm working on some new designs for the spring/summer and hope to have my etsy shop stocked with shirts soon. I made this one for my own - the reason why I haven't updated this in so long! I'm going to really try to be better with this and get my shop up and going. 

Those are most of the designs I've created so far....some haven't made it into pictures yet, but I'm working on it! Sorry my header picture is so large....I'm working on that too! I'm working on some boy designs this week - I made the boy elephant (last picture) this past Friday as a special request, so I still don't have any boy shirts currently for sale. I'm hoping to make a lot of new shirts the next couple weeks - keep an eye out for another update soon! A few designs....

up and running!

I've been meaning to create a blog for my designs for a while, but I just needed a little push to get started on it... I've recently been getting a lot of comments from people saying that I need:

1. Business cards (hopefully soon!)
2. A blog (I'm finally doing it!)
3. More shirts (particularly boy designs --> something that I'll be doing within the next 2 weeks)

I love making appliqued shirts - something I never imagined I would say. I'm no artist by any means, which is why I didn't think I could successfully do something like this. I like that the designs aren't perfect - they're all hand drawn and each one is unique.

I've realized lately that I am A.D.D. - I currently have 3 projects that are half-finished.... this may be part of my problem! I'm hoping to be able to devote more time and energy to "Willow Lane Designs" this coming year and seeing if this is something that I want to take seriously. Now that Christmas is past I'll be putting up some pictures of the different designs I've made so far...and maybe I'll actually get my etsy shop stocked with some shirts! Check back soon....
